Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Ticket Application Form Instructions
2. Each applicant can submit only one Ticket Application Form. The Ticket Application Form cannot be withdrawn once it has been submitted successfully. If you would like to change the information on the application form after it has been submitted, please contact the ticketing center customer service department of BOCOG by email at ticketsupport@beijing2008.cn, or call the BOCOG ticketing call center at +86 10 952008 after September 30, 2007. However, only personal contact information and the desired location of ticket collection may be updated. When changing your application information, you must provide the original information filled out in the application form, including ID type, ID number and date of birth. After such information is verified successfully, we will update your application for you.
3. Submitting a Ticket Application Form successfully does NOT guarantee the purchase of tickets. BOCOG will announce the results of the ticket lottery within three months after the completion of the application phase.
4. The ticket applicant must be a domestic resident in P.R.China (excluding Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan province). Applicants must have one of the following valid personal identification documents:
- People's Republic of China National ID Card
- People's Republic of China Passport
- The Chinese People's Liberation Army Military Officer Card
- The Chinese People's Liberation Army Civil Service Officer Card
- The Chinese People's Liberation Army Soldier Card
- The Chinese People's Liberation Army Glory Retired Certificate
- The Chinese People's Liberation Army Retired Certificate
- The Chinese People's Liberation Army Retired Certificate (Civil Service)
- China Armed Police Officer Card
- China Armed Police Civil Service Officer Card
- China Armed Police Soldier Card
- China Armed Police Retired Certificate
- China Armed Police Retired Certificate (Civil Service)
- Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Passport or Macao Special Administrative Region Passport
- The Entry permit to Mainland China for Hong Kong / Macao Residents, with a valid visa of this permit
- Taiwan Province valid ID card and the Entry permit to Mainland China for Taiwan residents with a valid visa of this permit
- Foreigners should have a passport, issued by their government with a valid visa for at least a 6-month period, issued by the People's Republic of China
6. You can obtain a paper Ticket Application Form (three copies in one set) at any Bank of China business office. Complete the application form and submit it to an authorized Bank of China Ticketing Branch. Please refer to the detailed information about the authorized Bank of China Ticketing Branch found on the official ticketing website of BOCOG, or consult with the BOCOG ticketing call centre and Bank of China. After obtaining the official seal of successful verification on your application form, you can keep one copy for your reference and submit the other two copies to Bank of China for subsequent processing. Or, you can directly submit two copies of the completed application form to the BOCOG exclusive ticketing service supplier by post mail, and keep one copy for your reference. The address of the BOCOG exclusive ticketing service supplier is: Beijing 100007 mail box, 98 sub-box, Post code 100007.
7. You can download and print the Ticket Application Form via the BOCOG official website, and submit the completed application to any authorized Bank of China Ticketing Branch and obtain official seal of successful verification on your application form. Please submit two copies of the application form to Bank of China for processing and keep one copy for your reference. You can also submit the original Ticket Application Form along with a second copy to the BOCOG exclusive ticketing supplier by post mail, and keep another copy for your reference.
8. You can acquire a Ticket Application Form from newspapers, or make copies of the Ticket Application Form from newspapers. Fill out the original Ticket Application Form completely and make two copies. Submit them to any authorized Bank of China Ticketing Branch and obtain the official seal of successful verification on your application form. The Bank of China Ticketing Branch will return one copy of the application to you for your reference. Or, you can submit the original Ticket Application Form with one copy to the BOCOG exclusive ticketing service supplier by post mail, and please keep another copy for your reference.
9. If you submit the Ticket Application Form via one of the authorized Bank of China Ticketing Branches, the branch of Bank of China, where you submit the Ticket Application Form, will be the default location of ticket collection, and you do not need to fill out the Bank of China ticketing branch code for ticket collection. However, if you submit the Ticket Application Form by post mail, you must fill out the desired Bank of China ticketing branch code as the location of ticket collection. Otherwise, the application form will be treated as an invalid application.
10. If your application form has been submitted by post mail, and is not fully completed, or cannot be read clearly, BOCOG will recognize it as an invalid application form and will not process it.
11. BOCOG does not accept the Ticket Application Form submitted by fax.
12. Please complete the Ticket Application Form by pen with black or blue ink. BOCOG is not responsible for unsuccessful application results due to illegible handwriting. Applicants must sign the bottom right of the Ticket Application Form. After you submit the ticket application successfully, your signature will be recognized as evidence that you agree to give authorization to BOCOG and BOCOG bank partner for your ticket price payment from your appointed bank account.
13. Please select one valid identification document from the list in clause 4 for your ticket application, and provide its number for your ticket application. Please use the same ID type and number for your ticket application and future purchases.
14. You must provide at least one contact phone number for your daytime contact number, night time contact number and mobile phone. Either land-line telephone or mobile phone can be accepted. Providing a mobile phone number is encouraged.
15. The mail address must be a valid mail address within P.R.China (excluding Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan province). It is recommended that you provide an email address, in order to let BOCOG reach you by this fast and convenient communication method.
16. The ticket quantity of each session is strictly limited by BOCOG: one ticket only per applicant for opening/closing ceremony, two to five tickets per applicant for other sessions. Ticket limits and session prices can be found in the order booklet. Please apply for a ticket quantity below the limitation; otherwise, the system will automatically update the quantity of tickets to the limitation. (For example, if you attempt to order 10 tickets for the Opening Ceremony, the system will correct the quantity to one ticket only.)
17. If the tickets you applied for as First Option are not available, your application will be processed by an automatic down-grade program, the Cascading Program. An unsuccessful first choice ticket application will be updated with a new price level that is one level below your current application. The new prices will be set by each price rank in descending order sequentially, until the lowest price of each session has been processed. If the ticketing system cannot provide adequate total tickets with a certain price level as you requested, your application will be cascaded automatically with the original total ticket quantity. If the available tickets with the lowest price still cannot match your request, you will not get any tickets for this session. If you do not want to join the Cascading Program, please mark "×" in the corresponding cell on the application form. A Ticket Application Form without the mark "×" in the corresponding cell will be recognized as your default agreement to join the Cascading Program.
18. For each First Option on your ticket application, you can make a corresponding Alternative Option. The Alternative Option can increase the possibility of successful application, but it is not required. Total ticket price of the Alternative Option must be equal to or less than the total price of its corresponding First Option; otherwise this Alternative Option will be invalid. A maximum of 10 First Options with 10 Alternative Options can be accepted. You cannot request the same session twice on your application, whether in First Options or Alternative Options.
19. Each price level of a session comes with an 8-digit ordering code .The first seven digits represent the session, and the last digit represents a price level. On any individual application form, either in First Options or Alternative Options, there should not be two session codes with their first 7 digits identical to each other (i.e. the tickets applied for on a given session must have the same price level).
20. If the total amount of ticket applications exceeds the total amount of tickets for sales of one session, all ticket applications for this session will be processed by the Lottery Program. First Option, Cascading Program and Alternative Option will be processed sequentially in the Lottery Program. For example, if your ticket application in First Option is not selected successfully by Lottery Program, your application will be processed by Cascading Program. If they fail in Cascading Program too, then your Alternative Option will be processed by Lottery Program. However, if you check the box next to "If you do not want your ticket request to be cascaded, please check the box," your Alternative Option will be processed by Lottery Program directly after your First Option failed.
21. Please confirm the "Total Price of Tickets" is the correct amount. If you make mistakes in total price calculation, your ticket application will be amended by the following rules:
- If your calculation result is over the actual amount, the system will update to the correct amount;
- If your calculation result is below the actual amount, the system will delete the ticket application item(s) automatically from the last session of the booking list one by one, until the actual payment amount is equal to or less than your calculation result.
23. You must choose a Payment Method in the Ticket Application Form. Otherwise, the application is invalid.
24. Applicants must collect their tickets from their designated Bank of China ticketing branch. If you submit the Ticket Application Form via the Beijing Olympic Game Official Ticketing Website, you can choose the location of ticket collection through the internet. The full list of codes of authorized Bank of China Olympic Ticketing Branches is available on the Beijing Olympic Game Official Ticketing Website and at any authorized Bank of China Ticketing Branch. You can also call the BOCOG Call Center to get the related code information. The application form will be invalid if you do not provide the above information, or the location of ticket collection you have chosen is not consistent with above guidelines.
25. BOCOG strongly recommends you register your personal information and submit the Ticket Application Form via the BOCOG official ticketing website. It will be significantly convenient for you to process your ticket purchases in future ticketing phases, consult more ticketing information and obtain important notifications from BOCOG.
26. If you would like more information on filling out the Ticket Application Form and ticket payment, please contact Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) Ticketing Call Centre at (+86) 10 952008. This call will be charged with a basic connecting fee but without an information fee.
