Online Application Flow

Ticket Application Flow (Online)

The official ticketing website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games gives prompts and links on each page to help you navigate through your ticket application process. You may also refer to the following illustration for a quick overview of the online application flow:
Once an Olympic ticket application is submitted, the system will generate a unique application reference number, which you will need for making future inquiries regarding your ticket application. This reference number will be displayed on the confirmation page following your submission, and also on the Application History page when you log in to your ticketing account online. Once submitted, your application will be locked and no longer available for editing or cancellation. However, it will be saved in your account for your reference. Please carefully check all the information you entered before submitting your application.

Online Ticketing Account Registration & Log-in

Before creating an online account with us, please first check the eligibility rules to determine if you are eligible to order tickets through this website.
On the registration form, please provide accurate personal information which is required for ordering and picking up your Olympic tickets.
You need to log in to your account before applying for Olympic tickets online.

Search for Olympic Sessions

Any site visitor is welcome to use our search function to find more details on the Beijing 2008 Olympic sessions. Searches can be performed by sport, by date, and/or by venue. When selecting a session on the search-result page, please click on the Order button displayed next to the desired session. You will then be directed to a page where you can request tickets for this particular session.

Quantity & Price for a Selected Session

On the Ticket Request page, a registered user is able to specify a ticket quantity within the session's ordering limits and an available price level of the session, and then add this session request to his/her personal application list.
Each of the First Options on your application list can be backed up by an Alternative Option. The inclusion of Alternative Options is not required, but will increase your chance of securing Olympic tickets. Please note that the price total of an Alternative Option cannot exceed that of its corresponding First Option.

Add to the Application List

Your application list is updated and saved automatically each time you add a new session to it. Your current selections in your application list can be viewed in the default list view, or in the calendar view.
If you no longer want a specific session in your application list, simply click on the Remove button displayed next to the session.

Applying for More Tickets

You can keep searching and adding Olympic sessions to your application list repeatedly by following the same steps described above until reaching the allowed maximum. Each applicant is allowed to select up to 10 First Options and 10 corresponding Alternative Options. However, you cannot request the same session twice on your application, whether as a First Option or an Alternative Option. For more details, please read relevant clauses of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Ticket Application Form Instructions.

Save and Log Out

As soon as an Olympic session is added to your application list, it will be automatically saved. You may log out, close your browser window, or shut down your computer. None of the above would drop the sessions you have just added. Your ticket selection will be saved for your further editing until the final submission, or until the deadline of Ticketing Phase 1, whichever comes first.

Choose Ticket Pick-up Location

You must pick up your Olympic tickets in person at one of many participating Bank of China Olympic ticket outlets throughout China. As a part of the application process, you are required to choose a Bank of China outlet of your choice from the complete list provided online before submitting your application.

Specify Payment Method

Following the Phase 1 Ticket Application process and its random draw of Olympic ticket applications, applicants will be notified of their secured tickets. BOCOG will then collect an appropriate payment via the payment method specified by each successful applicant on their submitted forms. Accepted payment methods are Visa cards and Bank of China savings accounts. Any application form submitted without specifying a payment method will be treated as invalid. For more details please see Payment Instructions for Phase 1 Ticket Applications. On the billing page, please carefully check your user profile and verify its accuracy. If needed, please modify your profile by clicking on the Edit button on the right.

Review Your Order

Please carefully check all the information listed on the Order Review page, confirming your ticket selections, your preferred Bank of China outlet, and the details of your payment method, etc. If you need to make changes, please click the Cancel button and go back to the Application List page.

Submit Your Application

To help protect online applicants' personal information and the integrity of the applications, once your ticket application is submitted, your online profile will be locked and unavailable for editing through the entire lottery process, until the next ticketing phase. Therefore, we strongly recommend you double check your user profile before submitting your ticket application. Please note that your application can no longer be modified or withdrawn once it is submitted.

After Submission

After your Olympic ticket application is submitted, it will still be available for viewing in your online ticketing account. Starting in Phase 2, online users will also have the ability to view their ticket lottery results online.
