(BEIJING, November 2) -- Dazhalan ("Dashilar" in the Beijing dialect), a commercial street with over five hundred years' history, is the cradle of traditional Chinese stores near Qianmen, Chongwenmen District of Beijing. The 270-meter-long pedestrian street was once crowded with centuries-old everyday community shops such as Tongrentang, Neiliansheng, and Zhangyiyuan.

It's also a world-famous tourist spot featuring a mixture of architectural styles of antiquity and modernism.
